Redpoint Advisors, a United States-based firm that delivers intelligence, geopolitical risk, insider risk and overwatch services to commercial, private and government clients worldwide, has acquired VoxCroft Analytics. VoxCroft is a South African open-source intelligence company that processes information from austere environments. The transaction integrates specialized data collection capabilities into the buyer's existing advisory operations.
Founded in 2018, the acquired firm developed a proprietary framework called population-centric intelligence. This system combines artificial intelligence public sentiment analytics and low-resource machine translation with hyperlocal data collection and specialized human wisdom.
The architecture helps global organizations and government entities monitor locations that conventional intelligence tools fail to reach. To fund the development of this technology platform, the software provider raised close to US$2 million in a Series A funding round from Knife Capital in 2021.
The United States firm executed the acquisition to create a combined capability offering for clients navigating high-risk environments. The integration allows the advisory firm to expand the reach of the intelligence platform into new commercial sectors.
“We founded Redpoint Advisors to be a high-touch, bespoke advisory firm for global clients operating in the most complex environments. The acquisition of VoxCroft enhances the capabilities we can bring to our clients and allows us to extend VoxCroft’s reach into additional sectors. We appreciate the partnership with Knife Capital throughout this transaction and look forward to jointly growing VoxCroft South Africa,” said Michael LaFontaine, co-founder and managing director of Redpoint Advisors.
