NexTec Group, a North American technology consulting firm that implements and resells Acumatica and Sage X3 ERP software for mid-sized businesses, has appointed Brian Howell as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 11, 2026. Howell succeeds co-founder Eric Frank, who is retiring after thirty years with the company. NexTec is owned by Pine Services Group, a holding company within Evergreen Services Group that acquires and supports ERP and technology services businesses.
Howell joined NexTec as Chief Financial Officer in the past year. Before that, he was an executive-in-residence at Evergreen, the parent group that acquired NexTec in May 2025. His background is in finance within the SaaS industry and private equity, with experience in areas including financial modelling, forecasting and data analytics, and he holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
NexTec works as a certified implementation partner and value-added reseller for Acumatica and Sage X3, providing software implementation and consulting across industries including manufacturing, distribution, food and beverage, construction and field services.
