Cognizant, a Nasdaq-listed technology services and AI provider with operations in more than 60 countries and a global workforce of more than 350,000 employees, has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting to support its talent acquisition operations. The platform is part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management, the HR software suite from Oracle, the Texas-based enterprise software and cloud infrastructure company.
The selection responds to Cognizant's plans to expand its workforce further and to support hiring needs that are changing as the company scales its operations. Cognizant evaluated the platform before selecting it, citing its embedded AI capabilities, its flexibility to build and extend AI across other systems, its ability to scale across geographies, and its support for both standardized and geography-specific hiring processes.
Roshan Subudhi, senior vice president of Enterprise Platform Services at Cognizant, explained what drove the selection: "The candidate experience is often the first interaction people have with our organization, and we needed a recruiting platform that could deliver a more seamless and engaging experience while giving us the flexibility to build AI capabilities that align with our business objectives. Oracle stood out for its ability to deliver all of this within a unified platform."
Beyond the recruiting platform itself, Cognizant plans to use Oracle AI Agent Studio, a development platform for building, connecting and managing AI agents and agentic applications, to create custom AI agents suited to its own hiring processes. Oracle Recruiting, together with a companion product called Oracle Recruiting Booster, is designed to help organizations grow talent pools, support internal mobility and streamline hiring through embedded AI and automation.
Nagaraj Nadendla, senior vice president of HCM product development at Oracle, framed the deployment in the context of organizations operating at Cognizant's scale: "Organizations with a vast footprint like Cognizant need AI-powered solutions that can scale globally and help them build a future workforce.
