Brex, a corporate finance platform that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital One, has partnered with Tekion, a company that builds cloud-based software for automotive retail operations, to launch Brex for Tekion Spend, a spend management product built directly into Tekion's Automotive Retail Cloud, known as ARC.
The integration targets a specific operational problem in automotive dealership groups: finance teams at multi-location dealers typically manage spend across service, parts, finance and insurance, and operations, often using shared owner cards, personal credit lines, and paper check processes. According to Brex and Tekion, some dealers cut over 100,000 checks per year at a cost of around $5 each, frequently to pay invoices of $50 or less. Those workflows have no native connection to dealership management software, which means finance teams manually match transactions against repair orders, parts invoices and vendor payments across every location.
Brex for Tekion Spend is built on Brex Embedded, the company's API-driven infrastructure layer. The product issues corporate cards inside Tekion ARC workflows and maps every transaction to the corresponding ARC record in real time. Spend controls can be set at the rooftop, department or individual level, with limits on merchant category, transaction amount and entity. Cards are available for fuel, vendor invoices and other purchases, and the system is designed to replace paper check runs with card-based vendor payments that also generate rewards on dealer spend.

Brex for Tekion Spend is available to select ARC dealers, with a broader rollout across Tekion's dealer network planned for the rest of the year.
