Workday Adaptive Planning, the workforce and budget planning module offered by Workday Government, has received FedRAMP Authorization at the Moderate Impact Level. Workday Government is a subsidiary of Workday, a publicly traded cloud software company that sells HR, finance and IT platforms to enterprise and government customers.
FedRAMP Moderate certification allows federal agencies to deploy cloud products for sensitive but unclassified information. With the authorization in place, agencies can use Workday Adaptive Planning for workforce planning and budget forecasting within a federally compliant environment. The product includes FIPS 140-3 compliant security and built-in audit capabilities.
Agencies can use the platform to model the workforce implications of organizational changes such as hiring freezes or budget reductions, including projected effects on headcount, costs, project timelines and mission readiness. Finance teams can evaluate competing program requests and monitor budgets throughout the procurement lifecycle, with the ability to flag potential overruns before they occur.

Workday Adaptive Planning operates within Workday Government Cloud alongside Workday's human capital management and financial management products. The setup lets agencies run planning on the same data that powers their HR and finance functions, rather than pulling information from separate systems.

Workday Government serves agencies across the civilian, defense and intelligence communities. Workday Adaptive Planning is expected to be available to Workday Government customers in early 2027.
