Datacentrix expands enterprise communications portfolio with CPaaS launch

Datacentrix, a hybrid ICT systems integrator, has introduced a Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) offering designed to help organizations manage business messaging through a centralized platform rather than a collection of separate communication tools and providers.

The launch reflects growing demand from companies seeking to consolidate customer and operational communications that are often distributed across multiple systems. Businesses increasingly use digital messaging for transactional notifications, customer support, marketing campaigns and system alerts, creating integration and management challenges when those channels are operated independently.

According to Jenna van Deventer, Sales Manager at eNetworks, a licensed internet service provider wholly owned by Datacentrix, organizations often face fragmented communication environments that require coordination across multiple vendors and platforms.

"Companies today rely on communication at every layer of their operations," explains Jenna van Deventer, Sales Manager at eNetworks, a wholly owned Datacentrix company and licensed ISP. "From system alerts, security notifications and transactional messaging to customer promotions, reminders and support interactions, communication has become critical to both business operations and customer engagement.

"The challenge is that managing these interactions across multiple channels often introduces significant complexity. Businesses frequently have to contend with multiple vendors, fragmented platforms, integration challenges and evolving compliance requirements, creating inefficiencies and making it difficult to deliver a consistent, scalable communication strategy."

The CPaaS platform provides access to communication channels including bulk SMS, Rich Communication Services (RCS), WhatsApp messaging, USSD services, short codes and branded sender services. Datacentrix said the platform also includes reverse billed messaging and reverse billed URLs, allowing businesses to communicate with customers through different billing models.

The company positions the platform for both mid market organizations and large enterprises that need to manage communication workflows across multiple channels from a single interface. Datacentrix said the platform can support both notification services and broader customer engagement programs.

“Businesses can no longer afford communication silos or inconsistent customer engagement experiences,” says Van Deventer. “CPaaS provides organisations with a single, scalable environment from which they can manage mission-critical communication securely, efficiently and in real-time.”

A central component of the offering is its integration capability. Datacentrix said the platform can connect with existing enterprise systems, including customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning and IT service management platforms. The company also offers custom development services for messaging workflows, automation functions and chatbot deployments.

The launch also builds on infrastructure operated by Datacentrix and its subsidiary eNetworks. According to the company, the platform includes direct interconnections with mobile network operators and supports messaging across multiple countries from a single management interface.

Van Deventer said organizations are moving beyond one way messaging and are looking for communication systems that support more interactive engagement models.

“Communication is rapidly evolving from a support function into a strategic business enabler,” adds Van Deventer. “Organisations want more than simple outbound messaging. They want intelligent, interactive engagement that improves responsiveness, strengthens customer relationships and supports long-term business growth.

“As digital transformation continues to reshape business operations, organisations need communication platforms that are not only reliable and secure, but also flexible enough to adapt to changing customer expectations and operational demands. With the launch of our CPaaS solution, we can help businesses to modernise their communication strategies while improving efficiency, engagement and service delivery,” she concludes.
