Lyric, a healthcare decision intelligence company, has acquired Concert, a health payment accuracy company whose technology converts clinical and administrative policies into machine-readable formats for real-time decision tools. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Lyric and Concert have been working together since 2023. Over that period, their joint solution offerings expanded nearly tenfold, a figure the companies cited as the commercial basis for the acquisition.
Concert's technology handles the translation layer between written healthcare policy and automated systems. Clinical and administrative policies, which govern how claims are processed and payments calculated, are typically written in natural language and require interpretation before they can be applied by software. Concert's platform converts those policies into formats that real-time decision tools can read and act on without manual intervention.
The acquisition gives Lyric a more complete coverage of the decision workflow for payers and providers, extending from data and analytics into the policy application layer that determines what gets paid, when and under what conditions.
