CGI advantage ERP earns Microsoft certified software status

CGI, a Canadian IT services and consulting company founded in 1976 with 94,000 consultants and professionals globally and fiscal 2025 revenue of CA$15.91 billion, has earned the Solutions Partner with Certified Software designation for CGI Advantage within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. The designation applies to software that demonstrates interoperability with the Microsoft Cloud and meets the program's requirements.

CGI Advantage is a unified ERP platform built for state and local governments, covering financial management, human resources, performance budgeting, procurement and business intelligence. The platform reflects 50 years of work in the public sector. Under the Microsoft certification, the platform's interoperability with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 has been reviewed and validated under the program's framework. One dimension of that framework worth noting: the certification is specific to interoperability and is based on self-attestation by the solution owner, meaning the underlying claims about platform functionality are made by CGI rather than independently audited by Microsoft.

Surabhi Subramanyam, Senior Vice-President of Government Solutions at CGI, described the connection between the certification and the platform's direction:

"Achieving this Microsoft Solutions Partner Certified Software Designation for CGI Advantage reflects the strength of our platform and the trust that governments place in it to run critical operations. By leveraging Microsoft Azure and AI-enabled capabilities, we help clients modernize at scale, unlock the value of their data, and accelerate measurable outcomes."

Andrew Smith, GM of Partner Programs and Experiences at Microsoft, framed the designation within the partner program's goals:

"Attaining a Solutions Partner with certified software designation is an important way for partners to stand out in the market and demonstrate their proven capabilities in areas of high customer demand. Earning a certified software designation for your solution can help position you to meet the growing demand for cloud-based solutions. We're pleased to welcome CGI and its solution CGI Advantage to Microsoft's exclusive growing network of partners with certified software designations."

CGI's Microsoft-focused services span cloud migration, advanced analytics, AI and enterprise application development, targeting clients in government, healthcare, financial services and energy. CGI shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange as GIB.A and on the NYSE as GIB.
